Odisha government today decided to impart entrepreneurship training to at least 10,000 youths during the current financial year to give a boost to the industries. A high level meeting chaired by MSME minister Prafulla Samal decided that the training will be organized by the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, Bhubaneswar, MSME-DI, Cuttack, District Industry centres and Coir Board. In addition to it online learning and development programme of six weeks duration will be given to the youths free of cost through the start up Odisha portal.
The meeting also decided to organize a stake holders meet involving therepresentatives of central PSUs,major state PSUs, existing ancillaries, industries and vendors shortly to boost the development of ancillary and downstream industries. The meeting directed the Director of Industries to convene plant level advisory committee meeting of all the Central PSUs in next four months. The DICs were asked to initiate steps for the linkage of Udyog Adhar memorandum with Aadhar number of respective entrepreneurs. Official sources said the MSME department has already conducted six Udyog Samsya Samadhan Sibirs to resolve the problems of MSME entrepreneurs.
Sources said the government plans to organize similar camps in the remaining districts during the current year. Representatives of IDCO, RBI, Odisha Pollution Control Board, Commercial Banks and the representatives of concerned electricity utility companies would be invited to the camps.UNI BD-DP KK
